“Of course this comes as welcomed news, especially against the backdrop of the recent market volatility. However, the economy remains fragile and stagnating wage growth will, in our view, lend itself to a delay in any interest rate rises this year. We didn’t see rates increasing this year and this news strengthens our position on this.”
