Swansea University graduate Matthew Bird has joined financial planners Seer Green.
Recently qualified financial planner Matthew Bird has taken on a financial advisory role with financial planners Seer Green.
Mr Bird will specialise in investment and mortgage advice to the growing portfolio of clients serviced by Seer Green from the company’s headquarters in Newport.
After graduating from Swansea University with a degree in economics, Mr Bird worked in the family wholesale firm of T J Bird & Sons, and he remains a director of the Wholesale Fruit Centre in Cardiff.
After helping to head up and grow the family business, and simultaneously developing his own investment portfolio, Mr Bird decided to progress a career in financial planning and has since completed his professional qualifications in mortgage, pension and investment planning with a diploma in regulated financial planning and a certificate in mortgage advice.
A prolific investment blogger, Mr Bird said: “I’m really looking forward to the challenge of being a part of the experienced team of financial planners and strategists at Seer Green, who over a relatively short period have earned a well-deserved reputation for providing expert and sound financial advice in areas of auto-enrolment, personal pensions, mortgages, business protection, tax planning and investments.”
Seer Green director and co-founder Siobhan Mail said: “Matt is an important member of the team; he possesses a great deal of experience from steering the growth of a reputable wholesale business and also through the development of his own investment portfolio which, importantly, is complemented by the qualifications and knowledge he has obtained that are necessary to offer financial advice at the highest level.”
Founded at the end of 2010, Seer Green has built up a portfolio of clients across Wales and the South West of England. The business is based at the Celtic Springs Business Park on the outskirts of Newport.
